Cathedral Square is conceived as a contemporary extension of Bendigo’s civic landscape, embedding the building into the site’s steep topography while remaining deliberately subservient to Sacred Heart Cathedral. Stepped landscaped terraces connect High Street, the adjoining parkland and Cathedral precinct, creating a vibrant mixed-use destination that brings together community, workplace and commercial uses while strengthening public access and engagement with this significant Bendigo landmark. Luke Jarvis Architects was engaged to further develop and deliver the established design, with a focus on completing the design stages, technical resolution and translating the architectural vision into a refined and buildable outcome.
